We conduct year-round field-based research mainly in British Columbia, Canada, but also in some other areas with collaborators.
We work in forests and cities.
Our current research spans four broad research areas:
1. Birds in Urban Areas and the role of Nature Based Climate Solutions
2. Bird Movement and Migration
3. Effects of domestic cats on Canada's environment
4. Effects of forest stewardship on birds in Western Canada
Our research mainly focuses on birds and animals (including humans) and plants that interact with birds. We mainly study birds at the community level (biodiversity and abundance) and at the level of the individual.
